Federal Judge Overturns Offshore Drilling Moratorium

Washington, DC (Jun 22) – According to C-Span the Obama’s administration decision to place a ban on all offshore drilling until a determination and preventive measures can be tested has been overturned by a federal court judge.

Hornbeck Offshore Drilling Services, LLC filed a lawsuit against the administration stating that the temporary ban would cause lost jobs and wages. Several other companies invested in offshore drilling rigs joined the suit.

The injunction issued by U.S. District Court Judge Martin Feldman can only be termed the most foolish decision in the history of Feldman’s district. Feldman’s decision cited that the Interior Department failed to provide adequate reasoning for the moratorium stating that one rig failing does not pose an imminent danger to all rigs in operation. Look out your window judge, you might just find that justification by simply viewing the dead sea life bobbing in the waters.

The Obama administration has already filed an appeal to overturn this absolutely foolish decision.

Another Reichwing Judge doing the bidding of the Corporations. Will the Judge take the blame if another oil rig melts down in the gulf?
