President Obama addressed the Democratic Caucus at the Capital Visitor Center Auditorium this afternoon to thank members of both Houses for their hard work and commitment to the American people regarding both H.R. 3590 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and H.R. 4872 Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Acts.

Congressman McDermott stepped up to the plate for the unemployed American, stating the need to work on jobs creation and to protect those unemployed before the end of next month. He did so by proposing a motion to request the move to suspend the rules and pass bill H.R. 4851, also known as the Continuing Extension Act of 2010.

As republicans line up to object to the Speakers approach, as she has stated the consideration to “deem” the Senate Health Care Reform Bill approved to move along with H.R. 3590, is some sort of “sleight of hand” or “Disgrace” by the Democrats. The GOP once again, sounds an “All Hands Call” to help raise their Hypocrisy Flag High, as the GOP has utilized this tactic numerous times in the 90’s.

The Health Care Reform Bill in the House, to many, lacks the key component to rendering this bill to be an affordable “option” – the “Public Option” that was a cornerstone of the original bill. As of today, the unfortunate position of this “Public Option” is, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “dead”.
THE PRESIDENT: Hello, everybody. We just had a very productive session about the final stages of health care reform in the Senate. And from the discussions we had it’s clear that we are on the precipice of an achievement that’s eluded Congresses and Presidents for generations — an achievement that will touch the lives of nearly every American.
