Quick passage is anticipated, with the President’s signature to follow. Millions of unemployed Americans can begin to breathe a sigh of some relief as the House addresses this issue. Continuation of unemployment extensions looks extremely promising.
The Democratic Leadership held a news conference this afternoon announcing the vote for unemployment extensions will come Tuesday morning after the appointment for Senator Byrd’s replacement is sworn in.

There is an extreme amount of confusion and worry regarding the unemployment compensation benefits both, regular and emergency extensions. The main point of confusion is due to the wishy-washy behavior regarding pending legislation in part, if not in whole, via Republican Party’s firm stance of seeing both this administration and economy fail.
