After a majority of the day spent listening to the Republican version of how H.R. 4213 should be played out and paid for, the lengthy wait for a quorum call came to an end. As the votes were registered, no doubt millions of unemployed American’s waited to hear that they would not be abandoned, that their unemployment extensions would surely be continued.
As frustrating a situation as being unemployed is, and a job market not available to millions of unemployed American’s, thousands are waking up this morning to more bad news,
It is time to stop the month-to-month bickering over extending unemployment, and get legislation passed through the end of the year.
There is an extreme amount of confusion and worry regarding the unemployment compensation benefits both, regular and emergency extensions. The main point of confusion is due to the wishy-washy behavior regarding pending legislation in part, if not in whole, via Republican Party’s firm stance of seeing both this administration and economy fail.
