KABUL, Afghanistan (March 13) – In separate operations yesterday joint security teams engaged eight militants killing three and wounding another, captured a Taliban sub-Commander, and detained several others.

Four Afghan children were playing, when a mine/explosive device was detonated killing two and wounding two others. The incident occurred in the, Faryab Province of northern Afghanistan.
