I have been unemployed since Mar. 2009 and have been unable to find a job. What they don’t tell me is my age at 58 is the reason that I do not get hired. Most jobs that I have applied for,( like many Americans) I am over qualified for and still I do not get the job. I should be in Tier IV of unemployment benefits, but because I did not make the cutoff date, I have no more benefits. Capital One Auto Finance just got off the phone with me and stated that they are going to repo the car due to non-payment. Once this happens, then how am I to hunt for a job? I hear that Australia has low unemployment and jobs for anyone that can get there. But unfortunately I don’t have the funds to do that. I am now at the end of my rope (as many of us are) and looking down at a very long drop.

It’s time that the American people are taken care of first. I am a veteran and was all for the war in Afghanistan to stop AL-Qaeda from having training camps. I supported this because the lives that had been taken on 9/11 called for some military action. Like most Americans I raised and flew the Flag to show our unity and pride for this country. One war would be the only one that our military could handle at one time. More than one theater of operation would stretch the military to the limits and close to the breaking point, where we are today. We are now in two wars with no real end in sight for either. To pull our troops out now would be a slap in the face of those that have given the total sacrifice by dying in these wars. It now has been 9 years and how much more in lives and money do we have to pour out? Do we continue to forget history and what Vietnam taught us? We are reliving the past and should have learned from our mistakes in that operation. We are now stuck between two wars that are costing us dearly in Fathers, Sons, and Daughters that we will never be able to replace. We need to get out, bring our troops back home and safe and use the money we are spending for that to get the United States back on her feet.

The Senate states that we need to cut spending and they have looked high and low, cutting many programs to decrease the deficit. Most of these cuts have been focused on the middle and poor class Americans. They have done everything to find extra money but one, by looking to themselves. We need to tell Congress that they work for us, each and every American and that all useless bills need to end. Bills should stand alone, no added items that someone wants to get passed buried within hundreds of words so that no one would notice. This also includes pork-bellies that are for only one state. Why do we send money overseas to countries that hate us and have stated over and over again, this will never change? They have been fighting each other for hundreds of years and that will never change.

The way to stop the economic downfall, and for this country to get back on its feet, is to have the House and Senate members take a pay cut. We need to limit the number of terms that they can hold office to two terms (we have term limits on the President of two terms, why not the House and Senate)? Once they leave office they should not receive stipend for the rest of their lives (American citizens do not get this, so why should they)? Make them pay for their health insurance as we all have to do now. Maybe they would see what it’s like to live from paycheck to paycheck. These cuts would save the taxpayers of America millions of dollars. They should have to stay in session if there are any unresolved issues or bills, like the unemployment issue that is still hurting many lives.

President Obama stated we need a change and he is right on that issue. Both the House and Senate need to be changed, all need to be sent home and do whatever they do when they are not in Congress or in Washington! They need to remember and understand that they work for the people, each and every one, and not only to line their pockets from the rich.

Let’s take our country and government back, controlled by the people as is stated in the first lines of the Constitution of The United States “We the People” and not “We the Government”.

Blame falls squarely on the special session of State legislators held in February 2010.

Carson City, NV (Jul 28th) – In what is becoming an ultimate blame game, credit for who was responsible for Nevada losing a portion of the $160 million from the federal government to shore up Nevada’s dismal educational system is unconvincing in its attempt. In fact, it is infuriating that the soon to be removed from office Governor Jim Gibbons refused to accept responsibility for Nevada’s loss.

Governor Jim Gibbons, the only sitting Governor to ever not be re-nominated to run by his own party, has chosen to target Senate Major Leader Harry Reid as the reason why the state was eliminated for educational federal funding consideration. Gibbons, tiresome even to his own GOP party, refuses to acknowledge that it was his responsibility, along with the State legislation, to ensure the proper requirements were met to be considered in the funding distribution.

Senator Harry Reid, however, has Gibbon’s number. The 18 states chosen for assistance were picked because the governors and government within said states aggressively went after funding to bolster up their educational systems.

Blame falls squarely on the special session of State legislators held in February 2010. The legislation removed 15 words from a statute that allowed student test scores to be banned when evaluating teacher performance. The removal of these mere 15 words, and an apathetic approach and concern for the long-forgotten quality of education in Nevada are clear indicators as to why Nevada was not chosen in the Race to the Top.

It appears, once again, that 51st place is “good enough” for Nevada. May god have mercy on its citizens.

Saturday, during President Obama’s weekly address the strategy of the Wall Street Reform Bill was addressed to the nation as, the House Minority Leader offered up a bill that would lead this country back down the same road that nearly collapsed a nation.

Washington, D.C. (July 26) – Saturday, during President Obama’s weekly address the strategy of the Wall Street Reform Bill was addressed to the nation as, the House Minority Leader offered up a bill that would lead this country back down the same road that nearly collapsed a nation.

The president’s plan will strengthen the economy by providing tax breaks to small businesses to spurn new jobs helping to strengthen the middle class. The bill is designed to create investment in the United States, not abroad. Clean energy was one of the targeted areas for businesses as is cutting taxes for working families.

The opposition leader in the House offered up a plan that, “[sic] presented the same policy ideas that led to this recession – ideas that will kill jobs instead of create them, and will add $1 trillion to the deficit, not reduce it.”

President Obama referred to the Finance Reform Bill as, “a key pillar of an overall economic plan we’ve put in place to dig ourselves out of this recession and build an economy for the long run.”

For nearly a decade large corporations have been receiving tax breaks for sending jobs overseas whereas, small business owners and Americas taxpayers have been absorbing the burden in keeping tax coffers full, and the country’s economy afloat. The result of this failed policy is what Wall Street Financial Reform is designed to deal with.

Spelling out the Administration’s plan the President stated, “This is our economic plan – smart investments in America’s small businesses, America’s clean energy industry, and America’s middle-class,” adding “Now, I can’t tell you that this plan will bring back all the jobs we lost and restore our economy to full strength overnight.”

Explaining his position, Obama stated, “The truth is, it took nearly a decade of failed economic policies to create this mess, and it will take years to fully repair the damage. But I am confident that we are finally headed in the right direction,” emphasizing “we can’t afford right now is to go back to the same ideas that created this mess in the first place.”

The House Minority leaders plan would be to, repeal health insurance reform taking away tax credits to millions of small business owners leaving millions at the mercy of large insurance companies once again. Without Health Care Reform, insurance companies would be allowed to simply drop individuals coverage, and “jack up premiums.”

Included in the plan of the party of fiscal dinosaurs, would be to take away new investments in clean energy even knowing the Republican Party has already voted against clean energy tax credits. The elimination of loans that could provide for the creation of thousands of jobs is also a focus of the House Republican Minority Leaders plan.

The President was quick to point out that the Republican plan was designed to protect the rich, and penalize the rest, “[sic] his party voted against tax cuts for middle-class families, he would permanently keep in place the tax cuts for the very wealthiest Americans – the same tax cuts that have added hundreds of billions to our debt.”

This nation cannot afford to turn the hands of time back, back to a period of trickledown economics also known as, ‘Voodoo Economics’ a phrase coined during the Reagan administration. The first era whereas, the economy was so-so and finally collapsed under the same failed plan only to be rescued by, the Clinton Administration. Then, to have a strong stable economically sound nation turned over to the hands of those that seek to protect the few, no matter what the cost to the many, the Republican Party.

President Obama closed his weekly address with, “I know times are tough. I know that the progress we’ve made isn’t good enough for the millions of Americans who are still out of work or struggling to pay the bills. But I also know the character of this nation. I know that in times of great challenge and difficulty, we don’t fear the future – we shape the future. We harness the skills and ingenuity of the most dynamic country on Earth to reach a better day.”

Those were not the happy days of old. 911, Katrina, Wall Street, deregulation, scandals, the rich get richer, and a middle class that may be rapidly disappearing. Not the makings of the current administration who are currently assigned the janitorial duties of cleaning up a mess that lasted entirely too long.

In response to the numerous comments received erronously citing that the Democratics have been in power and have majority rule within the legislative branch, it is time to set the record straight.

However, a revisit of ex-Vice President Dick Cheney is in order to properly put the following into clear perspective. Afterall, Cheney’s actions and behind the scenes manipulations cannot be forgotten during George W. Bush’s two terms in office.

As Halliburton’s Chief Executive Officer from 1995 through August 2000, that company’s KBR subsidiary was the main government contractor in Iraq. They were there via an open-ended contract, awarded without competitive bidding, in connection with restoring Iraq’s oil industry.

In 2001, Cheney’s Halliburton financials included 433,333 shares of stock options in three batches. On September 11, 2001, disaster strikes on American soil. Events we hopefully never forget. Strangely enough by 2002, Cheney’s assets were valued between $19.1 and $86.4 million. Halliburton contracts in Iraq, by 2003, were worth more than $1.7 billion. In addition, the company was strategically placed to make additional hundreds of millions in no-bid contracts the Army Corps of Engineers awarded.

With this often-forgotten bit of history lesson firmly in mind, an investigation of who, and which party, was “in power” during “the Bush years” is in order.

The 106th United States Congress, January 3, 1999 – January 3, 2001, was held by the Republicans in both the Senate and the House of Representatives. It was also the first Congress of the 21st century, and seats based on the 1990 Census figures. Election time.

The 107th United States Congress, January 3, 2001 – January 3, 2003, at its beginning saw a 50-50 division in the Senate. However, due to the fact that the Vice President, Dick Cheney (R) held the tie-breaking vote control, this put the Republicans in control on January 20, 2001.

The 108th United States Congress, January 3, 2003 – January 3, 2005, found the country still stuck with Dick Cheney as the President of the Senate. In addition, both congressional elections, the Senate and House of Representatives, gave the Republicans the majority in both houses.

The 109th United States Congress, January 3, 2005 – January 3, 2007, once again saw Cheney firmly in the President of the Senate seat. The Senate majority was Republican. The House of Representatives was Republican controlled. The filibuster “nuclear option” scare, failure of the federal government to promptly respond to Hurricane Katrina disaster relief, Tom DeLay corruption investigation, CIA leak scandal, rising unpopularity of the Iraq War, immigration reform protests, and government involvement in the Terri Schiavo case were prominent events during this time period.

In addition, the 109th Congress met for just 242 days, the least amount of time since World War II. In fact, it beat out the 80th Congress for least amount by 12 days. As the 109th Congress drew to its conclusion, some media commentators gave the 109th Congress the label, the “Do Nothing Congress,” a belittling label originally given to the 80th Congress by President Harry Truman.

The 110th United States Congress, January 3, 2007 – January 3, 2009, Cheney still firmly entrenched as the President of the Senate. However, the eight-year dominance of both the Senate and the House finally swung to a Democratic majority. This was also the time period where, after President George W. Bush’s 2007 State of the Union Address, Congress debated Bush’s proposal regarding what Bush perceived as a need for increased security in Iraq, and “a troop surge”. Any alarm bells going off yet?

Voting on a non-binding measure, although opposed to the proposed troop surge, the House of Representatives did pass a $124 billion emergency spending measure. The $124 billion ex-President Bush and company wanted. This measure did fund the war in Iraq. However, the House legislation included a definitive level of troops and included withdrawal schedules.

With the line drawn in the sand by the House, President George W. Bush, vetoed the Democratic majority House of Representatives bill, as he had promised he would should it include said timeline and withdrawal schedule. Those bells getting any louder?

As recent history reveals, both congressional houses did ultimately pass a bill funding the Iraq war. However, based on the no-go stance of ex-President Bush, no timelines were included. Ultimately both the Senate and the House passed Bush’s bill that funded the war with no timeline. It did, however, include “benchmarks” for the government of Iraq, along with monies for other potential spending projects such as “disaster relief.”

It is but a reminder to all that during the first Bush term, the Enron, WorldCom, Dynegy, El Paso Corp, CMS Energy, Williams, and Halliburton scandal broke lose. Each facing charges of corporate dishonesty and malfeasance. Leading up to that disasterous time period, ex-Vice President Dick Cheney was in charge of the Halliburton accounting practices. Again, not so strangely by now, to this day, Halliburton continues to cause havoc, even after its face lift, and remains the primary civilian contractor’s company in Iraq. Clang, clang, clang.

Thus history takes a quick speed up to the way things were by the end of George W. Bush’s second term in office. Bailouts and TARP monies and executive bonuses and massive layoffs. Taxpayer monies lining the pockets of the most greedy. Push, push, push to get it done before the change over of the most powerful position in the world – the new arrival of a visionary with fresh ideas for a country in dire need of help.

Check the timeline above again if in doubt. Both the Senate and the House of Representatives were under Republican control for a supremely long time. Long enough to do quite a bit of damage. Damage to this day the GOP refuses to take responsibility for, and some Americans refuse to believe.

Damage control, and placing the blame on the current administration and Congress today is ridiculous. It can only be hoped that a quick revisit over the past decade shakes loose the cobwebs in the minds of many.

For all those who declare it’s the Democrats fault and that they have control of the Congress, look again. Any reputable government website easily reveals the truth. Caution: simple arithmetic may be required, along with the willingness to see the blatant manipulation of a country’s citizens who “stopped watching”.

It’s all about the money honey.

The police in London will be celebrating today as another police officer has been let off with murdering an innocent man in broad daylight.

Ian Tomlinson was going about his day selling newspapers in the vicinity of the G20 protests in London on the 1st of April 2009, when the protests turned into riots because of the heavy handed and completely raging police, Mr Tomlinson tried to make his way to safety. Caught on amateur video Mr. Tomlinson can be seen, hands in pockets, negotiating the escalating trouble. After the police dog has a bite at him, and Tomlinson still has the audacity to walk on a public street, ‘PC A’ decides that it isn’t on and thumps him to the ground, an act of cowardice and bigotry that ended up killing Mr Tomlinson.

Mr. Tomlinson died that day, because a policeman hit him, no other reason. He was not scared by the crowd and have a heart attack, or try to run only to be hit by a car, or even trampled by the crowd. He was killed by someone who was there to take control, not lose it.

Since the initial calls for justice not much has made the papers, until today when the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) and the Crown Prosecution Services (CPS) found that there was no case to answer and no charges should be brought against codename PC ‘A’… There was a time frame to bring charges, unfortunately the police forgot this and that window of opportunity has closed.

PC ‘A’ murdered a man who did nothing more than walk infront of the bloodthirsty goon, Ian Tomlinson was not a protester, he was a newspaper seller. PC ‘A’ was a meat head cop with body armor and a large beating stick, with which he caused the death of a civilian. Once again it shows that murder is absolutely acceptable as long as you are in uniform and in London. The PC in question had been suspended before.

courtesy of www.cosmodaddy.com

After the first post-mortem showed that Mr Tomlinson had died of natural causes, a second one was called for because the whole “police brutality” thing hadn’t been taken into account, the second report showed that blunt force trauma to the abdomen had directly caused the death. This was the result of two separate post mortems.

Had Ian Tomlinson been a mask wearing activist wrecking shop fronts and causing general chaos in the streets of London then any altercations with the police would have just been part and parcel. However, Ian Tomlinson was an innocent trying to find a way home through the police lines, after being bitten by a police dog he was thumped with a bat and hit to the ground, he was helped to his feet by the evil protesters before collapsing and dying… All thanks to the police… Who once again will get away with murder, all thanks to the terror laws which suggest that tax paying citizens who are fed up with being treated like criminals are somehow now fodder for terrified and hate filled police officers.

Much like when the police executed a guy on a crowded train based solely on the colour of his skin, they never seem to have to face the music in this country. As I have said before, surely a prerequisite for being in the police, particularly they kind of police officer who will be handed a weapon, would be that they have a level head and at least have some control over their emotions.

Obviously not. The IPCC and CPS have set a dangerous precedent by failing to find a case against this murdering psychopath in a police uniform. The Tomlinson family will be appealing, and so they should, the murder of Ian Tomlinson is on tape for the world to see, and simply because the killer is a cop, they are happy to brush it under the carpet. Again.

Sharron Angle appears to be relying on two self-defeating strategies. The first is having little or no true comprehension on Nevada issues. The second is playing the blame game.

Las Vegas, NV (Jul 20th) – Wannabe senator Sharron Angle continues to provide evidence for Nevada’s residents on why she would be unfit for office, and how out of touch she is with reality. With the newly announced news that unemployment has taken another jump upward, responsible leadership in Washington is imperative. Reid has solutions; Angle has accusations.

Nevadans know exactly how the State reached critical mass. Relying on tourism, residential and commercial construction, and a booming housing market, Nevada, and Southern Nevada in particular, built itself up on a foundation akin to a house of cards. So, as the last administration played a major role in dismantling safeguards, when the Wall Street debacle hit everyone with a brick, Nevada crumbled.

Now Angle, in a run against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, is trying to convince Nevadans that it’s all Harry’s fault. The woman would be funny in any other setting if it were not for the fact that she actually believes she is qualified to be a Senator in Washington representing Nevada.

Mixing strange ideas with religious beliefs is scary enough, but laying the blame on a single Senator’s shoulders just shows sheer ignorance.

As Reid and intelligent citizens of Nevada are aware, the downfall of the state and any blame associated with it rests squarely on the shoulders of the state’s inability to expand and encourage industries that have staying power. Basing its ability to remain alive and stable on three major industries – tourism, construction, and mining – when two of the legs are cut out from under it, any three-legged stool will collapse.

Senator Reid, as the current Senate Majority Leader, and hailing from Nevada, holds the unique position of having been in Washington and knows “the players”. His comprehension of the need for reforms, from Wall Street to small business jobs bills, to expanding industries here in Nevada far exceeds the knowledge that Angle currently demonstrates and has little hope of acquiring in a timely fashion to help Nevada dig itself out of the metaphorical mud.

Angle appears to be relying on two self-defeating strategies. The first is having little or no true comprehension on Nevada issues. The second is playing the blame game. As we all witness life as it is currently being played out in the Senate today, once again, as the GOP opponent in this year’s Senate race, Angle, like the Party of No she represents, has yet to express any solutions. Using tired strategies that Nevadans are sick of hearing, its citizens want solid plans of action from its candidates for such an important seat.

We live in either a very great country, or a strangely scary one, where an individual need only ignorantly slam another, provide nothing concrete by way of workable solutions, claim connections with religious deities as proof one should be in the running in the first place, and make crazy assumptions, yet still be able to run for high office. Ah America!

However, Nevadans know intimately what they need, and that solution is most certainly not Sharron Angle.

The Senate ruled in favor of the long awaited legislation affecting millions of long term unemployed and their emergency extensions.

Washington, D.C. (Jul 20th) – The Senate ruled in favor of cloture for the long awaited legislation affecting millions of unemployed and the emergency extensions. The outcome of the vote for cloture on the revised H.R. 4213 was 60 for and 40 against.

Just prior to voting, right after their weekly luncheon, Mitch McConnell, Minority Senate Leader, tossed in his two cents stating in essence that while his party wants to help, they were concerned about the impact of helping the jobless and it’s impact on the economy.

He and Senator Lamar Alexander, were doing the GOP party two step. The Republicans claim they want to help yet they have done nothing but obstruct the vote on unemployment extensions for months. The GOP’s stance on “helping” has been to delay payments for millions of jobless throughout June and well into July.

The GOP is clearly out of touch with reality. They continue to take the stance that America as a whole does not want any more assistance. They continue to tag those who have looked for months and years for another job as lazy. They continue their stance that American does not need to change. The status quo, helping the rich while robbing from the poor and newly poor, puts the GOP party squarely in the corner of the Sheriff of Nottingham. Never more than now is a “Robin Hood” as important.

Once back in afternoon session, the Senate first swore Carle Goodwin (D-WV) into office. The now Senator Goodwin replaces Senator Byrd who passed away at the age of 92 just before the July 4th recess.

While this is much-needed legislation, tensions ran high prior to the vote for Cloture. The legislation is a travesty of the original bill that the House approved many months ago. Stripped of the right to penalize businesses for sending jobs overseas, stripped of the right to close tax loopholes for the richest, the bill voted on today covered strictly unemployment and the right to continue extensions for millions.

Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid had to revise H.R. 4213 via his own amendment in order to pacify GOP obstruction and get the unemployed their money. Without regard to the fact that the finest economists in the country state that unemployment is a stimulus for the economy since those unemployed are forced to put that money back into circulation, the battle to get the jobless the extensions they need continue. Cloture puts the bill into a temporary holding pattern, before it returns to the Senate floor for final voting. Only then will H.R. 4213 go back to the House. Once the process is complete, it is given to President Obama for his signature.

Passage of the bill for long term unemployment extension payment benefits will be retroactive to June 2, 2010.

Stories of unsolved murders have long been a subject of great books and movies, most of the time these stories are of killers you probably heard of at school, or on the news or, indeed, other movies or books. The most famous would be the likes of the Zodiac Killer and Jack the Ripper, both of these killers shared one major thing, neither was ever caught.

Theories abound, Jack the Ripper worked for the Queen killing prostitutes working in Whitechapel who knew of an illegitimate heir to the throne born of a tryst between Prince Albert and an local whore. Some believe it was Albert himself wielding the knife. After over 100 years and still no real leads, I have resigned to never knowing, or living under the assumption that the Royal Family knew then, know now and continue to cover it up.

Zodiac… Badass.

While Jack the Ripper is an English tale, Zodiac is American lore. Credited with starting the old killer messes with the cop’s routine, Zodiac was a west coast killer who would write letters and ciphers demanding they be published in the paper. Jack the Ripper did it first. However, a lot of the Ripper letters are regarded as fakes. Although one or two are thought to be real by true Ripperologists, in particular the From Hell package containing part of a human kidney, the other part ‘Saucy Jack’ ate.

The Zodiac Killer hunted humans, and for a long time was believed to be a man called Arthur Leigh Allen, DNA says otherwise, but again, we will probably never know. This is the reason we become drawn to these stories, particularly after some time has passed, the mystery.

There is such a mystery in Scotland. The story of Bible John is one that almost every West Coast Scot knows; it is the story of murder at what is now Scotland’s best Venue, the Barrowlands.

Back in the day the Barrowlands in Glasgow was a dance hall, today it is the only decent large live music venue in the country. Bible John frequented this “den of iniquity” as he called it, and it is where he found his 3 known victims, all of whom were menstruating, and all were strangled with their own stockings. He was given the name Bible John after he was heard talking about the bible, and sin, etc. the war cry of the religious maniac.

Much like the Zodiac case, the police in charge of the Bible John case have a prime suspect, but a lack of solid evidence makes it impossible to make an arrest.

Tobin & Bible John

In 2006 the body of Polish student Anjelika Kluk was found under the floor of a church in Paisley, fingers pointed straight at the creepy handyman who blew in to town not long before the grisly discovery. The name he gave was Pat McLaughlin, his real name was Peter Tobin, a man with a dark past filled with suspicious deaths, child abuse and prison

He was found guilty of the young Polish student’s murder and sentenced to 21 years in prison, once found guilty the Police started digging in his known previous addresses; evidence gathered from these digs linked him to the murders of Dinah McNicol and Vicky Hamilton. He was charged with these murders and will now die in prison.

It was not long before reporters and the police started putting pieces together and noticed similarities between Tobin’s M.O and that of Bible John. Not only that but the artists impression of Bible John could easily be a young Tobin, who lived in a house that had access to a back lane where one of Bible Johns victims was discovered.

On the surface Tobin is a fit for Bible John, he certainly shares the same evil tastes. Naturally, he is not saying much in the way of a confession, but if we have learned anything about serial killers in UK is that they love to bury the evidence where they live, a move I have never fully understood. Fred and Rose West buried so many bodies in their foundations that I am surprised the house did not collapse.

Jack the Ripper's last known victim.

Serial killers are the rock stars of the criminal world, by that I mean you wouldn’t want to spend time with one. The actions of these mad men and women are disgusting and tragic, such a disregard for human life is something us regular folks could never comprehend. Although, in saying that do you think Mary Kelly would think, while up some dirty alley way in Victorian London having sex with a disgusting drunk, that she would not only be remembered over 100 years later, but portrayed in Hollywood movies. Obviously not, Hollywood movies had not been invented at the time, but you get my drift. She became famous because someone (possibly Royal) did this to her.

Tobin may only ever admit to three killings, but the advancements in DNA and forensics alongside his known habits, burying bodies and evidence in “secure” places could lead to his downfall very soon. The police are digging and are sure to find something to tie him to the Bible John killings, if indeed he is the 60′s killer who is also credited with 3 killings. The exact number of people killed by Tobin and Bible John may never be known.

Copycat killers do not count due to a lack of originality. Like cover bands.

If Cameron wants friends as much as his desperation would suggest then he should hang Tony Blair for being an evil bastard, or bury him up to his chest and let us hurl rocks at him

Conservative Party Leader and, apparently, the PM of Great Britain David Cameron has thrown his weight into the furor surrounding the Facebook fan page dedicated to dead killer Raoul Moat.

The PM, who is about as persuasive as someone who looks like him can be, has suggested to the administrators of Facebook that they remove the page. Facebook declined and David Cameron backed out of the conflict bowing his head and apologizing for trying to dictate what can or cannot be hosted on the Internet.

David Cameron will find it hard to tell the vast majority of his public what they can or cannot do over the course of his time in office. To assume he could hold any sort of power over the Internet is laughable. David Cameron could have all the guns in the world and I still would not be able to take him seriously if he threatened me. The guy has the authority of a librarian.

While the Internet may have started as something to share information, and educate people, we have to come to terms with the fact that it is now awash with ego massaging social networking sites. Sites where people treat the Internet as their own gossip pages, letting their friends know just how trashed they were, or where they are at any given moment, desperate for a “like” or comment. Another part of it is to let their “friends” know just how cool they are by advertising just what they are into, fan pages are increasingly popular now, and with the free advertisement of “Raoul Moat the legend” fan page has made it bigger news than it should have been.

For the time being we just have to accept that, the same thing that is ruining the real world, capitalism and the morons who believe in it have hijacked the original ideas behind the Internet.

However, as much as David Cameron seems to think he was in the right to publicly slam the fan page dedicated to Moat, something he only did to try to gain your support, he has no right to dictate to any website what they can or cannot host. The Internet is a forum for free speech and David Cameron should focus more on things that will help get this country back on track, and less on things that will gain him friends.

I am happy to accept he existence the fan page because the guy is dead. Moreover, like Raoul Moat these pages will die eventually, it took a week for us to get rid of him, within a month the pages will start to gather dust, and within a year, only the truly idiotic will remember him.

Facebook told Mr. Cameron where to go, the page stays, and you are able to whittle any idiots away from your page of “friends.” Obviously, we already knew that Mr. Cameron is against free speech, he is a Tory after all, but I did not think he would advertise it so soon after his entrance into Downing Street. What he should really worry about is the fan page I am going to make when his idol Margaret Thatcher finally dies; you will get the chance to become a fan of “Dancing on the grave of Maggie Thatcher.”

You may not like pages such as the one dedicated to Moat that is the problem with freedom of speech I guess. You cannot possibly agree with the opinions of everyone, you just have to get on with it. The fact Cameron thought it was his place to get involved only shows that he is not even close to being fit to lead a country.

Moat was an idiot, and he died like one. Why let the thoughts of a few misguided people bother you, there are far more serious matters at hand. Stop watching Sky News, only they want you to think this is a big deal. I would rather Cameron tells us what he plans to do now that the truth about Labour sanctioned torture of innocent men in the wake of 9/11 has been brought into the open, I would like to hear what his thoughts are on that. I want to know if he plans to even mention it.

If Cameron wants friends as much as his desperation would suggest then he should hang Tony Blair for being an evil psychopath, or bury him up to his chest and let us hurl rocks at him. I think if Cameron did that I would not feel so bad every day that his face is the face of British politics around the world.

There is a facebook page dedicated to the "legend" Raoul Moat, if he was such a legend then why is he missing part of his head?

When Raoul Moat finally made a good decision and pulled the trigger the other day, one would think that we had heard the last of him, apparently not.

Rather than take the victory of getting rid of an idiot, there are calls to spend actual money on an inquest into his death, monies that could be spent on things of importance. His family and friends are now shocked and disturbed at the death of their little Raoul, his brother in particular has been in the papers talking about how hurt he is, and how compensation would help, despite not having seen his murdering psychopathic brother in 7 years.

The big question being asked in the inquest is did the tasers fired by the police make the gun go off. Before too much money is spent on answering this pointless question, I would like to chime in with my 2 cents, who cares? Really, does it matter? The person shot three people, one of them died. Another, a police officer, might never see again because Moat shot him in the face… Who cares how the gun went off…? The important thing is that it did go off.

There is a facebook page dedicated to the “legend” Raoul Moat, if he was such a legend then why is he missing part of his head?

References to his “problems” are understandable; drugs do make some people go mad. Some people online have blamed the entire thing on women in general, and insist that had there been a women officer with a gun Moat should have shot her… I am sure it makes sense in the head of the idiot who said it.

Others are quick to pass it off as a mistake, one that anyone could make, “I don’t think he was evil or a bad person…” said one misinformed reader of the Daily Mail, who misses the point completely, good and evil does not come into it. Being a murdering psychopath is the only real issue. Had he just been a nutter with a gun then I’m sure I would feel differently. But he shot three people, one died, he threatened the cops and the public, wasted time and money, yet people think he is some sort of victim or anti-hero?

The fact that he outwitted the police and SAS for one week is amusing in a depressing sort of way. Anti-hero might be the wrong choice of words, but you get the point. It is a natural reaction to take the side of the villain against the police, have some taste though; this person shot unarmed people and hid in a drain for a week, hardly a criminal genius.

Where were these people when the police executed Jean Charles De Menenez? More than likely sitting in the pub letting racial profiling, and murder slide.

I am sure the inquest will be ongoing, pointless and utterly enthralling for anyone who thinks you can get news from Sky News.
