(Jul 30) – With Congress set to begin work in their home states during Summer Recess, it seems very unlikely Senate Republicans will allow any further assistance in the form of legislation to move off the Senate floor. Chances are very slim any further assistance to the nation’s long-term unemployed considered, or passed in terms of unemployment extensions prior to the break.

Washington, D.C. (Jul 29) – Make It In America, H.R. 5893 which restores the Closing Tax Loopholes Act the Republican Minority forced from H.R. 4213 Restoration of Emergency Unemployment Extensions Act, is back on the House floor.
The Disclose Act S. 3295 is up for a procedural vote tomorrow while the Democratic Leadership is calling on national support as, the Republican Party plans to filibuster the resolution.
Finally, legislation is passed and the President has signed H.R. 4213 enabling the unemployed to qualify for unemployment extensions through November 30, 2010. The bill covered retroactive payments to the week of June 13, 2010.
Saturday, during President Obama’s weekly address the strategy of the Wall Street Reform Bill was addressed to the nation as, the House Minority Leader offered up a bill that would lead this country back down the same road that nearly collapsed a nation.

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) closed today’s Senate session lambasting the Republican Party for once again, stalling the release of unemployment extensions by an additional 30 hours.
In President Obama’s weekly address, the President blamed the Republican Minority Leadership for ruining the nations chances for recovery. The minority leadership is opposing initiatives, which would create jobs, cutting taxes, and unemployment extensions intentionally blocking the road to the nation’s recovery.
