Las Vegas, NV (Oct) The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show was held from October 11-14, 2015 at The Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, NV. The 24,000 plus attendees sampled fresh baked cookies, pizza, quick serve foods, and just about every treat you will find in any convenience store located across the country. Convenience stores are a comfort and a necessity for every neighborhood when you need that last minute item for a holiday meal or a quick gas fill up on your way to or from work.
Events and educational sessions provided information impacting retailers and industry experts and introduced new tech products and trends. Educational sessions included: Vapor, Smoke and Mirrors: Making Sense of FDA Tobacco Regulations; Keeping Your Operating Costs Under Control; and Grow Sales the Healthy Way, to name a few. Attendees looked for fresh and healthy products to offer in their stores as consumer demands are changing. When it comes to snacking, shoppers are purchasing more fresh and nutritious foods. Over 55 educational sessions provided information on unique innovations in retail and several breakout sessions explored nutritional initiatives in depth. More gluten free and healthy products were introduced at exhibitors’ booths this year.
