The National Working Committees of the Nigeria’s Ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has directed the chairman of the party in Osun state, Southwest Nigeria, to investigate the status of Chief Femi Fani Kayode to ascertain if he is a registered financial member of the party.
In a letter dated 20th May 2015 with reference PDP/NS/CPN/422-15, the NWC stated that Fani Kayode’s media war against the NWC contravened section 58 (1) b of the Party’s constitution and that necessary disciplinary measures should be meted on him at the ward level.
It further stated that if Fani Kayode is however found not to be a duly registered member of the party, he should be reprimanded as a usurper.
In another development, earlier, the NWC of the Party has summoned Chief Okey Nnadozie, the Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the Party to a meeting holding today, Thursday 21 May 2015, at the party headquarters, in Abuja, over complains by the conference of state chairmen of non-payment of their transport allowance to the last National Convention.
The NWN in the letter said it was disturbed by the volume of complains and the magnitude of the offence of non-remittance of 2.5 million naira transport allowance to the conference of state chairmen.
