Governor Ibrahim Hassan DanKwambo of Nigeria’s Northeastern state of Gombe has promised to work with all stakeholders in the state regardless of their political, religious or tribal affiliations.
He made this pledge at his second inaugural speech on 29 May, 2015, at the Patani Township Stadium during his 2nd swearing in as Governor of Gombe state.
DanKwambo said “As I stated in my address when I received the certificate of return from INEC, I once again call on those in the opposition to support this administration so that together we would carry Gombe State to greater heights as no society will progress in an atmosphere of acrimony and rancour”.
He reiterated that his administration will continue to pursue principles of probity, transparency and accountability predicated on respect for the rule of law and due process in the conduct of Government business.
While reflecting on his first four year tenure, Governor DanKwambo saind he remain thankful to God for the peace in Gombe state relative to other states in the region that have been ravaged by the scurge of insurgency, despite sporadic attracts in the state.
He listed some of his achiements as the massive investment of the state in education and agriculture.
DanKwambo assure citizens of the state that his second term he shall consolidate on the achiements of his first term. He said “In this second term, we shall continue to provide as many socioeconomic infrastructural facilities as possible. Our mission here is to achieve a threshold in the density of such facilities upon which sustainable development could be based”.
