The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kaduna state, North Central Nigeria, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has assure residents of the state of improved Health care, Free education and security of lives and property if voted into office.

El-Rufai gave these assurances at a Town hall meeting with Igbo community leaders in Kaduna state on Wednesday 8 March, 2015. He said his administration was going to create a conducive environment for all residents to thrive in their chosen endeavours by strengthening security apparatus in the state.

While fielding question El-Rufai said the manifesto of his party included free education of children of all residents up to grade 9, that is, free primary and junior secondary education regardless of their states of origin, stating that no resident of Kaduna would be asked to supply their religion, tribe and states or local of origin in all official government forms and documents.

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC promised to remove the indigene/settlers dichotomy in the state as every Nigerian has the right to aspire to any position in the state where they reside, work and pay their taxes.

The President General of the Igbo community in Kaduna state, Barrister Chris Nnoli, while expressing his satisfaction with the clarification made by El-Rufai on issues pertaining to the welfare and security of the Igbos in Kaduna state also thanked him for assuring them that demolition of property was not the focus of his administration residents of Igbo extraction own substantial landed property in the state. Some Igbo community also prayed that when elected the wish El-Rufai would approve titles to the property they own in the state.

Mallam El-Rufai concluded by affirming that the President elect, Muhamadu Buhari, has admonished all candidates of the All Progressive Congress never to tell lies or promise electorates what they cannot fulfil. He advised he electorate to troop out on Saturday to exercise their civic responsibility in a peaceful and orderly manner.

The Igbos are the third largest ethnic group in Nigeria, they originate from South eastern Nigeria, they are predominantly businessmen/women and traders, they are believed to be the most travelled ethnic group Nigeria.
