Cavallino Collision Center

Ric Donofrio, formerly with Ferrari of North America, and their San Francisco dealership, founded Cavallino in 1979. Ric was given the task of finding shops capable of performing quality restorations on vintage road and race cars. This lead to the opening of Cavallino Rampante, Ltd. a full service Ferrari restoration facility.

With a strong following of Ferrari owners throughout California and the western states, the shop was an instant success. Within 18 months, the first restored Ferrari left the facility and took first place in its initial showing. By the late 90’s, Cavallino restored vehicles won more than 100 events including class recognition at the famed Pebble Beach and Cavallino Classico National Concourse events.

Utilizing our expertise and good practices learned in restoring and repairing vintage vehicles, in response to customer demand, we expanded into the collision repair business for all domestic and foreign makes, from mainstream vehicles to the exotic. Our auto repair craftsmen are considered the best in their field, and have everything that’s required to ensure a high quality repair that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations. Based on our past experiences and expertise working aluminum  since we opened our doors we are the most experienced in performing repairs on today’s many aluminum uni-bodied vehicles from Alfa to Tesla, Cavallino is the bay Area’s “go to shop”.

Additionally we also fabricate and repair customs, hot rods, exotics and daily drivers. Cavallino repairs all vehicles with the same care and attention to detail that made us famous. Whether you drive a Smart car or a Ferrari, Cavallino is a wise choice.

Proud note of interest: Ric is a Maxx2Racing Team Member, sponsor and co-driver of The Royal Purple Maxx2Racing ‘Bad Bird’ LSR Race Car, and The Royal Purple ’99 Firebird Pro Touring-LSR Car.
