Las Vegas, NV (April 3) The largest and longest-running trade show serving the pizza industry was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from March 19-21st. Pizzeria restaurant owners, operators and managers along with, distributors attended or exhibited their products and services. Three days of live cooking shows, baking demonstrations, seminars, and workshops including networking sessions, all available to attendees free of charge.
Networking opportunities and business building operators shared the exhibit floor with foodie attendees to sample the best pizza in the world. Lauren Rohr, Sales Manager, with Smart Flour Foods™, demonstrated the company’s products that are naturally free of Gluten/wheat, casein/dairy, egg, soy and rice. Rao’s Specialty Foods, Inc., demonstrated by Sharon Straci, Partner/COO and The Woman behind the Sauce ™, and Deb Crisan, SVP of Sales and Marketing, offered taste testing of their Homemade® All Natural Premium Quality Pasta Sauce; made without added sugars or fillers.
Americo, Inc., a family owned and operated company, displayed a wide variety of their Laminate and Vinyl table cloths. Richard Gross, represented Pizza Packet; spice packets that pizzas crave. Representatives of Wenner® Bread Products, celebrating the art of baking since 1956, gave away full size samples of their products to attendees. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Schram, were among many who enjoyed samples of Stanislaus Food Products. Nicky Giusto, representative of Central Milling premium Flour & Grains, also demonstrated Wood Stone Commercial Cooking Equipment.
One of the most exciting products at the show was Mies® All Purpose One-Step ™ Breading. This product is no ordinary breading. Mies Breading provides a light, delicate coating requiring no egg wash. You just wet it and bread it. Mies® also manufacturers food equipment and supplies. Another exciting item at the show was “The Perfect Crust Pizza Liner™.” No soggy crust and a crisp crust every time.
Windsor Foods, “The Original Chili Bowl® Chili, offered samples of their chili. The Jim Beam® Bourbon Steak Chili gets an extra kick with the taste of Jim Beam Bourbon. Adrienne duBois, Sales Coordinator for Earth Island®, offered samples of the company’s all natural, heart-healthy oils; high in omega-3s, non-GMO, 100% Vegan, dairy free, gluten-free, cholesterol free, and the vegenaise really did taste good. Yioryo (George in Greek) displayed their ultra-premium extra virgin olive oil. What’s a pizza expo without Cheese; one of the best displays was by Grande Cheese Company. The Atlantic Beverage Company provided attendees samples of their products.
Business owners received a lot of ideas by attending the Pizza Expo. New operators learned how to start a pizzeria as, attendees enjoyed samples offered by the hundreds of exhibitors.
