Rick Santorum the Anti-Masturbating Crusader

By Henry Hunter

When Rick Santorum finishes his campaign and finds himself in the running for the White House or nursing his wounds after a political beating from his Oddly Named Rivals, he will be afforded either a minute or two to look back at his unique campaign strategy which, focused on his issues with his fellow citizens morality, or lack thereof, instead of formulating plans and policy that could rescue his countries rapidly failing economy.

It is highly unlikely that this mix-up will register because it seems as though Mr. Santorum does not understand the job of President. I would go as far to say that he does not understand the concept of being a free human being, which is odd considering most of his followers claim to be strong advocates for freedom, liberty and justice for all.

It is not the job of the President to tell people what kind of videos they can watch. Today however, I saw a video of Rick moaning about pornography, pornographers and Obama. This is the campaign strategy, bring up things that anger his heavily religious followers, and insinuate that Obama doesn’t care about such important things.

Troubling as it is to say, Rick is right. Obama does not care about people watching pornography but what he and his followers fail to realize is, this is the way it should be. Why would you want your President, or Presidential candidates to be concerned with what his taxpaying, downtrodden, recession suffering, freedom loving citizens masturbate to?

Nevertheless, this is what troubles Rick and those of a similar mindset. He talks at great length about it, while also claiming not to care about the unemployment rate. It is safe to assume that Rick Santorum is confused, as any Moral Crusader would be in 2012. These are not the old days, and thank All the Gods for that. Politics is a grown up business, there are things that just do not matter. The fact that someone in a position to seize power would even breathe a word about masturbation suggests to me that he is struggling to comprehend the gravity of the job he is trying to win.

The problem for the outside observer in situations such as this one is that it is difficult to read, is he taking advantage of people who, for some unknown reason, are against masturbation? On the other hand, does he really think that an anti-masturbation stance is acceptable in modern politics? Either way he is out of his depth and each day it seems he is starting to realize it.

However, credit where credit is due, I guess. Rick Santorum has managed to stay in the race, with many still on his side. That is commendable, considering his absolute lack of any credible policies, strategy or intelligence. His campaign strategy is not a new one, it is not unique to him, but it has been well executed. Nevertheless, think of this, Obama tried to give the poor a fighting chance. He tried to give his citizens a healthcare service similar to the UK NHS, but the crazy American Right slandered this as some Socialist System.

Rather than seen as an attempt by the President to ensure that his citizens, their kids and their kids kids do not end up being too poor to get sick. As much as they wish to believe that Socialism is a bad thing, it may be, but that is beside the point. The point is that America is run by pharmaceutical company’s intent on keeping the population drugged up and paying heavily for it. While here in the UK we get sick, we go to the hospital paid for with our taxes. Try to keep up America.

People like Rick and his Oddly Named Opponents are distracting you from real change in favor of a fate worse than Bush.

The Right Wing in America will gladly support the dropping of trillions of Dollars worth of bombs on largely innocent people, but do not want any of that money spent on providing healthcare for the poor. I would laugh if it were not so despicable.
