Las Vegas, NV (Nov 9) – The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) held its annual trade show last week in Las Vegas with more than 2,000 exhibitors. The aftermarket products presented at the show offer options to accessorize and customize your vehicle. The newest products are showcased, the hottest vehicles are on display, and exhibitors offer buyers an opportunity to see everything automotive in one big show.
Celebrities were present in many booths supporting the show and their sponsors; George Barris, builder of Custom Hotrods, The Batmobile, and The Back to the Future car, signed autographs in the Vertical Doors Inc Booth.
Brad Keselowski, NASCAR driver for Sprint and Nationwide Series, signed autographs for fans at the Hawk Performance Booth and the StanPro Booth. Helio Castroneves, Indy Car driver, three-time Indy 500 winner, and fifth season winner of Dancing with the Stars, signed autographs for fans in the Guidepoint Systems Booth. David Ragan, NASCAR driver of the No. 6 UPS Ford Fusion, signed autographs for fans in the UPS Booth.
Parnelli Jones, 1970 SCCA champion and Indy Car champion, with son PJ Jones, NASCAR driver, signed autographs in the AIRAID Filter Company Booth. Mario Andretti, racing legend, signed autographs in the MagnaFlow Booth, and Chip Foose, designer and builder of innovative custom vehicles, was available for autographs in several sponsor Booths.
Vehicles were displayed with before and after customized paints like “The Royal Purple Maxx2Racing “Bad Bird” LSR Race Car owned by exhibitors Richard L. and Judy C. White of Lovelock, NV.
Each booth was unique, and some innovative, drawing your attention to their product. Rockey Rossi, Sales Representative with FIST Enterprises, a Fingerprint Identification Systems Technology company, displayed a motorcycle with a beautiful model posing for photographs. FIST Enterprises offers a system that’s more than an alarm system for you vehicle. It’s an “Access Control system” using Biometric Fingerprint Security. Only authorized users can power the vehicle to start it. This prevents anyone from driving your vehicle even if the key is in the ignition.

SEMA was granted $500,000 from The U.S. Department of Commerce as part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) for 2011.
The Grant supports U.S. manufactures that export automotive specialty-equipment products to booming emerging international markets. It’s intended to stimulate U.S. exports and part of the Administration’s National Export Initiative aimed at doubling U.S. exports by 2014 in support of several million U.S. jobs.
