NASA Releases Photographs of Leftovers from Apollo 17 on Moon’s Surface

September 6, 2011 – NASA officials have released a series of photographs detailing the equipment left behind during the Apollo missions. The new images clearly indicate not only equipment left behind but, footprints as well.

The images captured by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter are some of the most detailed images captured to date. The current release of images details the Apollo 17, 14, and 12 sites.

The detail of the images is so remarkable during close examination; researchers were able to locate as well as, determine the position of the wheels on the Lunar Rover (LRV) left behind.

Overall, this should put to an end the skepticism and plethora of conspiracy theorists from days of past as, the photographs indicate the presence of the manned lunar missions during the 70’s by U.S. astronauts.
