Cameron U-Turn on VAT Hike

London, UK (Jan 3) – In April of last year, then leader of the opposition David Cameron announced that if he won the general election he would not be hiking VAT, and instead would focus on cutting spending.

Come Tuesday this will just be more hot air as the Value Added Tax will be raised from 17.5% to 20%. The shocked Owl who is in charge of the Labour Party, Ed Miliband, has hit out at the move, claiming it will cost the average family £7.50 a week.

During a speech to the people of Oldam East and Saddleworth Mr. Miliband made sure that the world knows that he cares about the average family. He expressed his feelings about the already struggling families that will struggle more. He slammed the tax hike as “going too far too fast”.

Pay us more taxes or the dog gets

Ed Miliband has not had an easy job since taking over the Labour Party, which was obvious from the get-go. The person taking over from Brown was never going to have a permanent gig this was evident by the look on his brother Davids face when he was pipped to the post, despite being favourite he did not look too bothered. Ed will not last long as the power hungry Labour vulchers are starting to circle; claims that he is not making an impact as leader are not unfounded. It feels like every other day he is banging on about the terrible decisions that the Conservative/Liberal Democrat coalition are making, yet doesn’t feel like offering decent alternatives.

It almost feels like he expects people to be shocked that people like David Cameron would screw the poor to feed the rich. He is a Tory, what else was he going to do?

Chancellor George Osborne hit back by reminding Ed that the cuts and tax hikes are necessary because of the state Labour got the country into economically. Taking into account that former Labour Chancellor Alistair Darling wanted to raise VAT it would appear that Miliband is simply chasing cheap votes, and being a bit of a condescending tool at the same time. Do not listen to him, and do not applaud what the Government is doing. They are all swine. Sides have absolutely no bearing. If you think, they do then that is all good and well, but you are simply leaving yourself open to disappointment.

Nick Clegg, who starred in an advert blasting both parties for their broken promises, has kept his mouth shut on this one. On the other hand, maybe there is something jammed in there prohibiting him from speaking.

“We have absolutely no plans to raise VAT.” David Cameron April 2010.

“Hey Britain, just joking, lol, give me more of your cash.” David Cameron January 2011.

It seems he is bending so far over backwards to appease the liberals that their policies are taking precedent over the ones i voted for , and i hate liberal policies and consider the party bonkers . So much for the much vented proportional voting all it causes is utter confusion .

That’s funny. The ones you voted for, that being the ones that will destroy small businesses and make families homeless, they are all getting brought in. don’t you worry your wee Tory head about it.
If you think that those bonkers liberals are telling that shaved primate Cameron what to do, then maybe it was your head that was lipoed, not your massive crappy colon.
On a serious note though, thanks. This made me laugh. Conservatives that don’t think the country is being conservative enough. Magic. Let’s bleed the poor some more.
You should check out my old articles. Keep your eye out for the one I express my desire to dance on Thatchers grave when she finally pushes off.
happy new year… if you’re rich. If you’re poor, then I wouldn’t insult you by wishing you anything but good luck surviving this government.
