Countdown to 2010 Mid-term Elections | Unemployed Need To Vote

Washington, D.C. (Oct 20) – The 2010 Mid-term elections are just 12 short days away with predictions of Republican gains in Congress, the unemployed need to turn out the vote.

This is probably the most critical mid-term election for nearly 28 million Americans in their adult lives. With the Republican Party posturing to take control of the House, the unemployed and underemployed are assuredly to see an end to all assistance as well as, the chances of further unemployment extension in form of a Tier V.

It is extremely important that the unemployed put the past behind them and look forward to their future albeit, even if it is the short-term.

The workforce as a whole is in jeopardy as, the Republican Party plans to further increase lay-offs by granting extensions, and an increases in the Foreign Tax credits that sent millions of American jobs offshore and overseas as, greedy Republican Party backers took every advantage of this tax loophole.

The Republican House also plans to attack the minimum wage. As if not all was bad enough, no longer will the American worker have a strong federal law behind them to ensure they can at least provide the basics for themselves and families.

Disenchanted voters are missing the true message, the job market remains sluggish however, it is growing for a change. The Democratic leadership has in fact, reversed the joblessness in the nation all the while fighting tooth and nail with the Republican Party, that is hell-bent on doing whatever they can to destroy the administration simply to ensure themselves, not Americans, jobs in the future.

Unemployed and underemployed Americans along with the nation’s workforce, has the ability to keep this change for the worse from coming to fruition by simply getting out the vote. The Democratic leadership has made a change, a promised change for the future.

The Republican Party’s record of accomplishment of broken policy’s and anti-American worker sentiment has cost this nation enough already, too much in fact. Americans cannot look towards this party, the Party of NO expecting to help in their future. The Republicans are promising a change alright, a change of policies that sank this nation’s economy over the last 10 years.

Get out the Vote Americans, give your unemployed friends, and neighbors a fighting chance by simply supporting growth, supporting the Democratic leadership in this Congress.
