Planning to Join the Quran Burning Saturday May Endanger Troops | General Petraeus

Gainesville, FL (Sept 7) – Despite a request from General Petraeus, a Christian minister from Gainesville, Florida plans on holding his Quran burning day in retaliation for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the nation.

The Dove World Outreach Church Pastor, Terry Jones during interviews over national, and cable news network’s states, he understands the concerns, but still plans to go ahead with his ceremony on Saturday.

Many U.S. officials have fallen inline stating burning the Quran would be un-American and do nothing more than enrage an already deranged group of terrorists in both the Persian Gulf and Asian theaters.

The views of those opposing the plan are clear. It is intuitively obvious that if someone actually believes strapping a bomb on their person and detonating, it to murder their fellow humans will assure them of a virtuous afterlife then; it would make sense that watching a stack of republished ancient novels go up in flame would cause the bunch to cover over the edge.

The Pastor of the church has stated he has received at least 100 death threats so far regarding his plans however, that is not enough to deter this group of anti-Islam bible thumpers from going through with the planned bonfire.

As far as Pastor Jones is concerned, its break out the marshmallow’s it time to burn. The plan is not simply a local ideology as; the Pastor is calling for an “International Burn a Quran Day.”

In an effort to prevent the “Burn a Quran Day” the local fire department has refused to issue the Pastor a burn permit for Saturday’s planned cookout, and fiction novel burning day.

Keeping with the logic of the entire ritual, one would think that Muslim’s feeling insulted would not simply sponsor a “Burn A Bible Day.” Instead, members that stand to be the most “violated” by the planned protest would simply stone to death any so-called Christian caught in their country with a “Holy Bible” another novel of little historical significance to some, but a burnt stack of papers bound by glue and leather is “simply outrageous”.

The move as requested by the military, to halt the burning of the Quran should be taken as a grain of salt since; this country simply allows those in protest to burn the American flag.

It is obvious that the powers to be in this country are really trying to keep a large group of poorly educated temporary visitors, as we all are, of this planet from murdering innocent civilians in retaliation by stating this is a despicable act.

In the manner of free speech, and the lack of the protection of those burning our flag here and overseas, one can only state, “burn baby burn, burn… burn… burn” as the planned protest appears to be still on schedule.

This makes me sick to my stomach. This man doesn’t give a fig about the men and women he is putting into danger in Afganastan. How can a minister take such a deliberate step in inciting hate and racism, and call himself an ‘international’ minister? Freedom of speech? Yes, I’m sure it would fall under that category…. However, it still condemns an entire religious organization that brings people together in prayer to God… rather than the extremist [deleted language] that were responsible for the loss of thousands of people. This action will still incite further racism between and toward innocent people. And this will STILL put our military, my nephew being one young individual, in the path of direct harm in ramification for the egotistical choice to bring attention to his own agenda… protesting muslims. Not the extremists, but the Muslim word, the Muslim religion, and all Muslims. Just as it would symbolically condemn all Christians (this man calls himself one) if a person were to burn our Bible. How is this a Christian action? How is this carrying on the word of Christ, or the Love of God??

Didn’t the Christian brethren pass along the warning from GOD! Lloyd the Baptist communicated to all the Christian organizations and associations, apparently they didn’t think much of you to save your soul.

Heard last Christmas from Lloyd the Baptist in southern edge of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near El Macho.

I give thanks and praise to the Almighty GOD, the SON JESUS, and HOLY SPIRIT… I’ve just come back from my yearly Christmas pilgrimage into the Blood of Christ mountains. I walked out of the Sangre de Cristos with a MESSAGE from the SON. The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is NOT happy…

Search your hearts and minds for the faith to BELIEVE what I tell you is TRUE. The WRATH of GOD is about to come down on those that displease the LORD. I’m bring a WARNING for CHRISTIANS, heed the WORD of the LORD or be punished for your ignorance…

I was baptized in HOLY SPIRIT and tell you NOW… the HOLY TRINITY is in NO WAY associated with ANY of the paranoid, delusional right-wing, moralists that congregate in America’s Evangelical Christian community. An angel of GOD, surrounded with the Holy Spirit, appeared to me near the mountain top at the Holy Hot Spring.

A terrifying vision was revealed to me… the suffering and degradation of a whole generation of good Christians who were led astray by FALSE PROPHETS. Ohhh can one even imagine the PAINFUL scene of so many Christians being cast into HELL?

Basically decent, hardworking Americans who were convinced that GOD was their good friend and JESUS their personal savior. Only to find out… to REALIZE they were supporting policies that came from satan himself. Holy delusions that actually fooled millions of church goers into a belief system that PRAYS FOR WAR while PRAYING AGAINST HEALTH CARE for fellow Americans and the least of their Brothers/Sisters. 47 million of them… JESUS was a healer, right?

Christians allowed themselves to be turned away from Nature and this precious environment GOD created to meet ALL our needs. While their Corporate Masters used the air and water as SEWERS and ground to bury TOXIC WASTE… Pastors were taught to demonize or make fun of cultures that cherish Nature or the Sun. Science is sent to the back of the bus. So lost in their right-wing Christian vanity… they consider themselves more intelligent than the world’s top climate scientists.

Instead of feeding the starving human beings of the world… Christians allowed their tax dollars to be used to PROVIDE WEAPONS instead. How dare you BELIEVE that JESUS was on the same side as the WAR PROFITEERS, ARMS DEALERS!

JESUS says “…satan thrives on chaos, suffering, conflict, war, destroying nature, etc. and those who PROFIT from THAT are his followers”

Back in the USA 40+MILLION Americans are struggling below the poverty level but Conservative Christian priorities are about tax cuts for the RICH and tax deductible status for churches connected to their Evangelical Associations. Listening to Pat Robertson speak out against Wall St. reform and regulation, one could get the idea these type Christians would have defended the “money changers” from JESUS.

Charity is NOT for love’s sake but a MISSION to spread their warped belief system and hatred of gays/lesbians to the poor peoples of the world.

JESUS says Christians are not using the good brain cells the FATHER blessed them with. They ignored Bible quotes above, while listening to authors of the FICTIONAL “Left Behind” books (OR John Nelson Darby) ARE YOU MORoNS CRAZY? Jumping for joy that the end is near and JESUS is on his way to take them to paradise in the clouds.

The LORD GOD ALMIGHTY says Christians will be STOPPED before they give the Neo-Cons/Republican Party enough wealth and power to hurry along Armageddon. Only GOD knows the time of Revelations prophecies, those that tell you different are false prophets leading you on the PATH TO HELL! The WRATH of GOD will soon be upon you unless YOU REPENT! Show humility and ask forgiveness for your FOOLISHNESS, LOW GRADE THOUGHT PROCESSES and SINS of the past.

After December 27, 2009 if you do not turn from the wicked ways… the very words from Christian mouths will be a plague on their daily lives. If they cast stones, they will be shown and exposed as hypocrites… If they curse their fellow man/woman the curse will come back at them. If they fail to look out for the poor, jobless, homeless, starving, physically/mentally ill or any other of the least of your brothers/sisters then fortunes will be lost and your children will know of these afflictions.

In the name of father GOD, JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT… So it is written, so shall it be DONE! Through the blessed mercy of JESUS CHRIST you been given this WARNING and last chance… What you do with it is up to YOU!

  What the heck’s the difference it is nothing more than a paperback novel about some story told centuries ago with no fact or basis to prove it correct..
  
  The Quran spells out hate and punishments that are simply inhumane… the Bible on the other hand is not much better with its stories of murdering their own children…
  
  Neither the Bible or Quran can be proven as factual…
  
  I, like the author agree that if it is okay to burn the flag than torch this dime store novel who cares….
  
  There is only one religion of the land that can actually produce the remains of its creator or theology, Buddhism….

this is completely racist i know alot of muslims and this is not fair to the burning their flag is one thing but burning their most sacred book thats a whole diffrent story god will burn him to hell before he gets a liter one mile near that book

  The reference to flag burning is that the US Supreme Court ruled it was a violation of Freedom of Speech to be prosecuted for burning the US flag here in the states so, what’s the difference between someone here in the US burning the flag or some book?
  
  Although, it is somewhat ridiculous to even think that burning a stack of books will revive from the grave those that suffered on 9/11…. prosecution to the fullest extent of the law is the only real recourse for the savages that would plan such an attack on innocent civilians….
  
  I know a few Muslims myself and they don’t care about this whacko…. I would have to agree, it’s nothing more than a fiction novel that some believe it to be the truth and others do not….
  
  As far as, “burning in hell” where exactly is hell? Some say heaven is skyward, and hell is beneath us… scientific exploration has proven that there is no “hell” beneath the earth’s surface, and the Hubble telescope has yet to find a “heaven” either…..
  
  I suppose there are those that NEED to believe in something, as much as, the Republican Party believes in greed and hatred… so why not some book written thousands of years ago…

This is most insane. Why is it always the thick, hillbilly, uneducated and highly religious that burn books? Instead of assuming it is the evil book people have told you it is, why not read it for yourself… Or get it on audio book if you are from the SSouth.

To blame an entire faith for the actions of a few is totally mental. You cant stop him doing it, thats the whole point… But in the same respect if anyone wants to kick his head in, then that should be fine too.

its only a book. probably one bought in WalMart or something. they are of no significance. what we should be burning is people like Rev Terry Jones… on a big bonfire with a massive sign saying “idiocy and ignorance will no longer be tolerated… It’s only religion… Get over yourselves”… Something like that.

It is his right to burn it if he wants. People are so cowardly and wouldn’t dare confront islam. Anyone who takes a stand against islam is demonised because the cowards do not have the guts to do it themselves and fear repercussions. Pathetic! Grow some back bone. If the Animist Serere tribe of West Africa can can confront and defeat islam for a thousand years why can’t the West with all it might? Answer= Because you are full of liberal cowards.

If you can burn the American Flag you can certainly burn a stack of paperback novels…

In turn, American’s should simply respond the same way Muslims due everytime one of them burns our flag….
