Someone said today…. “The unemployed are paying the biggest price for the stupid decisions the government is making…. they are losing EVERYTHING” And no one seems to care.

Lets sue the Government, a class action sue against the greety arrogants that are putting homes, food and kids wellbeing in jeapardy! Give a job then if you don’t want to help! I can put a nice suit, and vote against the little people too! It is outrageous the democracy we are living in. We give millions to the Middle East, We gave millions to other countries, but when the disaster and poverty hit home, the evil Republicans play the see not evil, hear no evil, talk no evil.

Well I a one of the individuals caught in the timing loop hole. I feel disgraced by the actions of these rich people who at best have to sacrifice a vacation or new car if that. Our founding fathers were great thinkers and great men and now we are left with dubious characters of low moral worth who sell out to corporate greed.

If we are to survive as a democracy and a super power we have to get our act together. I love this country and for the principles it espouses. Hey, no country is perfect including ours but if this is how Congress chooses to spit on us then we collectively need to spit back. Stand strong folks.

Matt, I hear what you’re saying, but this isn’t just a Republican thing or a Democrat thing, it’s an American thing. No one political party alone did this to us, they all did, big money and power. And although I come from a long line of conservatives, my parents taught me to always vote for who you feel is the best choice, regardless of party. A politician is a politician, they just disagree with how to get things done. But in this case, neither side seems to give a $hit that they are dragging their heels while many of us hang on by a thread. Hang in there, all of you!!

yes that is exactly what they think. As if when cut off the extensions/benefits, we are all going to shrug and run off to this magical hub of mcdonald’s and walmarts ready and waiting with an apron for each and every one of us! Yes people with degrees, years of work experience, pilars of the community, people with families are just lazy and taking a vacation. They just haven’t tried different things! I guess they never heard of the concept of being turned away from said jobs. Or that if they economy is so bad people are cut off their basic unemployment they are not going to buy even their most basics!
This is ridiculous.

I along with millions of Americans have been watching the live Senate. It is very clear that they get paid to take long lunches and work a few momemnts of each hour per day! It is also clear that they really don’t care about the people that voted them into office. This goverment makes me ill!

I feel your particular pain. I, too, after only 6 months will no longer be receiving a UI check as of next week. Meanwhile, they want to talk about Men’s Health Week and other things that, frankly, should not reach the level of importance as taking care of the unemployed masses.

I used to work for the media so I understand their game.

The republicans need people to be poor. So they can become more wealthy if it makes any sense. It keeps a balance for them. If we were all rich, We wouldn’t need anything. That is why they want to keep poor people poor. They don’t want to see poor people come up in the world because it becomes a threat to the rich. But guess what. IF they take away unemployment, Business will fall too. People who are poor can’t afford to buy much. So now we have a circle of rich buying from one another. The rich need the poor. In conclusion, If the government takes away unemployment. I can’t see anything positive in taking away peoples means of living.

What does a person drawing unemployment benefits do with the money? They pay bills, they buy food, they make mortgage payments, or pay rent, etc. What is the best way to stimulate a failing economy? You spend money! If a person such as me and millions of other, have no money to spend, the economy stalls it’s recovery. Looks to me like, if the butt draggers in Washington, wanted the economy to recover, they would pass the damn bill swiftly, and then grant the 99ers tier V so money could begin circulating in America once again….
