United Nations Call for States to Take Somali Refugees

(May 12) – The United Nations have called for the international community to take the Somali refugee running away from Somalia fighting between the Transitional National Government and the Al-Qaeda linked terrorist movements those are frustrating the peace and stability in the horn of Africa nation.

The UN reiterated that the world have been tackling the Somalia peace deal but progress have had failed several times while the state have lacked fortune to stand its own feet. The news coming from Geneva appeared on the Daily Nation magazine of Kenya says the refugees from Somalia amongst the best refugee worldwide according to restraint and expectation of hope, its added that many of Somalis endure the suffering in the streets of their neighboring countries including Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, and Uganda where their children end up without school, youth girls and boys stuck in-front of relief organizations as elder refugees feel unhealthy and worried of their territory’s consequences.

Somalia have lost its long term and effective government when popular uprising rendered the government flee from its position in 1991 then created the rebel leaders to turn on each other, the international communities have offered its best chance ever loaded to an African country but again a factional strong leader, Mohamed Farah Aideed objected the UN & US “restoration of hope” program while Aideed called it a modern era new approach of colonization over African states. Late General Aideed at the that moment getting a propaganda support from Africa’s leading media reiterated that the United States of America wearing a UN shirt was aiming at entering the Indian Ocean gate a with modern military facilities and wants to test out its powerful might on suffering African nations, there happened another war in which more than 1,200 international peace keeping forces were ambushed, and as well US soldier on the ground went in direct war with the Somali leader. This caused the UN and US to furiously return their forces back from the failing Somalia.

Later on, Somalia state went on to address civil-strives, it was failing to start-up peace talks within themselves so that their women and children can be fed and survive. Many neighbor countries including Yemen, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Libya, Sudan, and Kenya were targeting to insist to bring the stubborn warlords together. Several deals to moralize an establishment of a government became unsuccessful; this failure news was not good for the international community because Somalia was entering a new era of accumulating strange things. An African Al-Qaeda were realized to have offered trainings in Somalia, whereby the sea route have became dangerous to be easily passed because of that hungry militias now turned to the commercial ships in the Indian Ocean. Pirates emerged with abducting foreign nationals as well as exchanging strong cash with the abducted commodity carriers and commercial ships.

Already there is not a popular and civil system in the Somalia capital, Mogadishu. Businesses have transferred to neighbor states whereby the only people remained inside Mogadishu were coupled families who do not know where to go from their country, wounded and disabled who have all endured long term difficulties.

Now something new is up-to happen that even warlords did not practice this is inhumanly killing of people in front of the society, cutting hand and legs traversed. The second term program became turning on the youth to use bombs at popular places; all of these actions funded and established by the Al-Qaeda connected Al-Shabaab.

One of the numerous strange things those were coming-into-the sight of the people, is still people taking simple to face dangerous oceans.

Many refugees traveled from Somalia while passing the sub-Saharan desert, and have then died on the greater desert. Those refugees evacuated from Somalia and have succeeded to pass the Sudani or a Libyan Sahara must again try the Mediterranean ocean. There, many Somalis met genocide and ended up while facing to the tiny Islands directions in Europe somewhere their boats couldn’t attained. Those who reached places like Malta Island etc. have told terrifying stories that can make you scream.

Hundreds of Thousands are been lost everyday while fleeing from the terror in Somalia as fanatics frustrating peace are day-after-day succeeding in their interest regarding further mayhem to this poor African country. The UN sustains refugee camps from the three sides of the borders with Djibouti (North), Kenya (South) and Ethiopia (Western) these are the borders in which refugees are gathered and assisted when they arrive with their lives. The United Nations agencies also have a continuous death and threat challenges in reaching out the inner locations where the people are being displaced (the IDP’s) so that they can be receiving water and food. Recently Al-Qaeda linked terror organizations banned food aid to reach central regions in the country.

Media in the country are divided into many parts as the worst thing is banning music and entertainment from the public. Somalia radio presenters depended on the musical sounds and have interestingly used to talk to hundreds of people through the phone. the United Nations sponsored transitional government is insisting that music cannot be banned countrywide whereas their facilities are always there for the peaceful Somalis.

According to the Daily Nation, the report added United Nations called for states to take the Somali refugees even if they do not come out of the criteria of being a refugee person, the news informed that the United Nations High commissioner for refugees stepped up efforts to safeguard this new call for all the international community.
