For the people who care, tomorrow is Election Day in the UK. For the people who do not, I am sure there will be a reality TV show on to make you that little bit denser, I find it funny that I refer to those people as if they would read a news website… They are probably reading Perez Hilton, or some equally idiotic trashy waste of oxygen. For everyone else, tomorrow is decision time.
I was too young to know what was happening in 1983, I was one year old, but it is widely regarded as one of the Labour Parties worst performances. Until this year, that is. Labour could have easily won this election if they had presented a unified front, even seeing other party members would have been enough, as it stands I cannot remember the last time I saw anyone other than Brown. They have thrown this election away, and as such left, us open to complete destruction by the Conservative Party. David Cameron is a dangerous man, either he is mentally retarded and believes his policies do anything other than kill off the poor and give more to the rich… Or he is a dangerous maniac who is completely aware of what he is doing. He is still proposing cutting spending to get out of the recession and instead of abolishing the boys club House of Lords, all of whom are unelected rich dicks in robes, he will fill it with his Reich and drain everything from everyone who can’t afford it.
I was too young to know much about Thatcher at the time, but it does not take a genius to look back and see that what she did, Cameron is going to pay tribute to her. He will destroy whatever relationship we have left with Europe, because his party is one of bigots, homophobes and racists, and he will abolish the ‘seen in two weeks’ labour policy that lets you see a cancer specialist within two weeks, unless you are rich. A vote for Cameron and Conservative is not only a vote against every man, woman and child in the UK who isn’t lucky enough to be filthy rich, but it is a vote that proves you are an intolerant, blinkered, homophobe with racist tendencies and a distorted, outdated view on the classes, i.e. you are a classic Tory.
For a man who wants to be PM to stand up and tell the nation that he wants to save the economy by cutting spending is just so mind bogglingly dumb that I cannot comprehend it. Under a Conservative Government, we will be plunged back into recession and we will not recover for many, many years. I realise that all our problems stem from the current Labour Government, and Gordon Brown must face the music, but if you get your news from anything other than tabloids, you would know that Brown has pulled us out, slightly, but still it has improved. If you let Cameron take charge, within a year we will start to notice the Country disappear down the toilet. Unless you are rich. Then you will be fine, because the Conservative party love rich people. However, the rest of us are screwed.
The Conservatives propose a marriage tax. You will get a tax break if you get married. If you are a single mother, you will get less than a married couple, and if you don’t plan on getting married like myself, then the message from Cameron is that you are a second class citizen and you had better get used to it. Why should married couples get the breaks? Surely single parents deserve them more, particularly if you have one of those outlandish over the top weddings, you deserve no tax breaks if you have one of them. I feel like I have been shouting SCREW THE RICH throughout this article, but there is no other way to say it. If you spend any more than £5000 on a wedding then you don’t deserve a tax break. I’m not saying you shouldn’t spend it, it’s your life, your money… I am just saying if you have that kind of money to spend on your ego, you do not deserve a tax break that a single parent could use to bring up their child.
Blair was in the news today trying to salvage the Labour campaign, which is like the Conservative party dragging that horrid old boot Thatcher from whatever corner of hell she is currently waiting to die in and getting her to plead with the people she screwed over to stand by her party… This is yet another terrible decision by Labour, and one that will certainly lose them more votes than they will gain.
Vote for whom you want. But remember that this is the first time in generations that we have the chance to change a system that is so old that they relied on God to say “let there be light” to power the first House of Commons meeting, it really is a chance for change… Just not the change Cameron or Brown are hawking. In addition, it is not mindless rhetoric on behalf of the more liberal publications… Your vote really could make a difference; you have nothing to lose, if you are going into it knowing whom to vote for I envy you. If you made the decision quickly and without thought, I do not believe you.

This is the most nerve-wracking election that I have ever had the pleasure to take part in. I could not sleep last night due to my stomach churning!!
I agree with your thoughts on the conservative party, David Cameron and his chums are set to lead back into the depths of a deep recession! I really might almost be able to handle this if I thought that it was what the people wanted, but voting participation is low and therefore due to out first past the post system of voting (the winner takes all) it means that more people vote against the party in power than for it! It breaks my heart!
I can only hope that A) voting becomes compulsory – with a not vote box to tick if you don’t agree with any of the parties…this would say far more to our politicians than just not turning up and B) We have electoral reform and adopt and proportional representation system so that we get away from this “2 horse” race!
Voting is such a privilege and I can honestly say that I cannot wait to go to the polling station after work and cast my vote!
Vote for change…and funnily enough the term conservative means:
“Tending or disposed to maintain existing institutions; opposed to change or innovation.”
Hmmmmmm?
