Washington (Mar 8, 2010) – There are no votes scheduled for the Senate floor today. C-SPAN is reporting that a 2:30pm vote to limit amendments and debates will occur on Tuesday March 9 regarding the “Tax, Unemployment, and Highways” bill.
Senate Majority Reid has stated that he would like to see this bill passed this week so that the Senate may move forward addressing the economic crisis, as well as other issues waiting.
Currently most unemployed Americans have been in this status for nearly 18 months with no immediate prospects of becoming gainfully re-employed. As of this time, WorldNewsVine has not had any return calls regarding the details of the new bill whether, it is simply extending the time to which the unemployed can file for existing “tiers” or actually be fruitful, and allow benefits to be extended through year ends.
In the meantime, the national employment issue will need to be addressed head-on, with all resources focusing on a resolution to this crisis. With over 8 years of irresponsible fiscal spending, and no means for the coffers to cover this ridiculous “spending”, one thing is for certain: the GOP has left a mess that will take this nation generations to overcome.

Amen…its about time someone actually came out and said who really got us into this mess. Several years with the GOP in the white house, senate and house with their tax cuts and “wars” got us into this economic fiasco and they spin it back on the dems and people actually believe them. I’m not saying the dems aren’t totally innocent in this but the GOP should take most of the blame.
