Child Killer Jon Venables to get new identity.
17 years ago in Liverpool, England a toddler named James Bulger was kidnapped and murdered by two ten year old boys named Jon Venables and Robert Thompson. The two boys were sentenced to spend their childhood in custody, and were released in 2001, aged 18. They were given new identities because the severity of their crimes would evoke such rage upon discovering their true identity that they were in danger of being murdered… This point has been all over the news in the last couple of weeks since Jon Venables was sent back to jail. The Bulger family, and a lot of the British public want his identity and latest crime revealed. The media speculate many things, as usual, drugs, violence or child pornography… These are all as of yet unconfirmed, but when has that ever stopped the media…
The main reason for the outrage that is dominating debates and news stories across the country is that the deal he made is now null and void, he re-offended and as such, he shouldn’t be protected under the same deal… If only for the message it sends out. The details of his latest crime(s) are yet to be revealed by any real source… But I guess it would be safe to assume that it was more than likely pretty severe, severe enough to make the ever dispicable Jack Straw revel in his all knowing omnipotence… Or ignorance, depending on what you think of the little rat.
Jon Venables is a disgusting, murdering psychopath, and he is being protected after going back on a deal. I was all for their identities being protected after being released from their original sentence and I remain in that mindset for the other killer, Robert Thompson, but breaking a deal should have ramifications, if they don’t then our own Government are publicly promoting the breaking of these rules and showing the world that we will not only protect horrors like Venables, but we will do our very best to help him live in secret and relative safety. Knowing that re offending results in a brand new identity is not exactly going to deter him, or any other criminals for that matter.
The continued protection of Jon Venables is not only a drain on taxpayers money, but a constant reminder to the Bulger family that the government are showing unnecessary compassion to a man who subjected their child to horrific, sadistic torture before killing him.

This is major news here in Britian. there is not a person over 20 that does not remember in great detail the murder of jamie!
The boys were 10 or 11 at the time, and for me I believe that they should have known right from wrong, but i also believe that the deal made for them was fair and just. This new revelation is just heart breaking for the family and highlights, yet again, the failures of our government and prison systems!
Fingers crossed Robert Thompson has made the most of his fresh start, otherwise they really are just spitting on Jamies grave!

That poor child, I can only imagine the pain and suffering he went through, his killers disgust me so much, I can’t express it with words. I mean, seriously, at the age of 10, how could you commit such a crime?

OK, Please call him James not Jamie, out of respect for his parents. They never called him Jamie it has always been James.
This scum bag should be the reason capital punishment is reintroduced. If there was ever a good reason this is it. To look at the photos of James being lead out by Venables and Thomson leading the way to kill the baby is so bloody sickening. I get the urge to scream at the screen “don’t go baby”. My god to have anything but hate for those two monsters! is there anything else to offer? NO.
They don’t deserve anything not even to see sunlight. Put them under ground alive in box and let them feel for once what James felt. ALONE, HELPLESS, SCARED, PAIN, CRYING FOR HIS MOMMY, SEXUALLY ABUSED AT TWO YEARS OLD, BEATEN AND SACRIFICED. Yep tell me when the justice kicks in won’t you.
To Venables & Thompson and all those who protect them. I don’t just hope you rot in hell I hope you suffer with every disease the world has to offer and the pain is unbearable and then some. KARMA will prevail to all concerned.

Thanks for all the comments. I understand your point Sammy that his name is James, but ever since the news broke the story all those years ago he has been known to the British public as jamie, and he always will be to a public who will never forget this tragic story. I realise also that I never called him that in the article and you are refering to the comments section, but I am just pointing out that he is known as Jamie in the uk… Despite his parents wishes.
