The police command in press conference gave the name of the three suspects who are involved in the murder of the journalist; Dada Yemi Adesanya, Ganiu Suleman and Idris Balogun.
According to the police, the three suspects were actively involved in the robbery that led to the death of the late journalist, the police claimed that the three suspects deliberately pulled the trigger and killed Bayo Ohu. However, the three suspects given the opportunity to speak said the death of the journalist was an accident as they had no intention of killing but just a robbery gone badly.
The police are now stating that the three suspects arrested were not actually members of the group that entered the victim’s home but, were recipients of the stolen goods from the crime scene.
The state police issued a statement that the suspects would soon be arraigned in a court of law on charges of conspiracy, armed robbery and murder.
