Winter Olympic Games Officially Open

Vancouver, BC – In a spectacular opening ceremony, with an eulogy given to fallen comrade and athlete, Nodar Kumaritashvili, the Winter Olympics Games torch lighting has signaled the beginning to what can only be the most exciting times in sports.

Wayne Gretzsky, all time NHL hero, was honored with lighting the outdoor caldron while, four former athletes, lit the interior caldron. With only a minor glitch in the indoor lighting ceremony, all was absolutely spectacular.

The Canadian government/country has shown to be a very generous sponsor of the Olympics. Canada, a true friend of all nations, has extended their best to all athletes participating in the games.

Wayne Gretsky was ushered across town to light the official Olympic cauldron for as tradition has it, the Olympic cauldron must be visible to all.
