Shaun White wins snowboarding gold for USA
Vancouver, BC – Shaun White takes the Gold in the Half-pipe with a spectacular finish, a finish he has failed at many times before. The “Double McTwist” a dangerous but breathtaking move that Shaun, both during practice at home and on the Half-pipe has missed nearly causing himself serious injury.
Scoring 48.4 on his final run, yet already was assured the Gold on his first run with 46.8 Shaun, with the backing of his coaches, decided to “Go for the Gold” performing his signature move.
Shaun, a multimillionaire with a flare, dressed in torn jeans for the Olympics (apparently a current fad), nervous on the first run, skipping the Double McTwist stated, “I know I have it in me, but the Olympics is pretty heavy. I was sweating it a little.”
Congratulations Shaun on your Gold Medal Victory.
