Nigerian government recruits 1,767 prayer warriors to pray their president

It has been almost 3 months since the President of Nigeria left his country for medical treatment; some have begun to think it has something to do with the spiritual forces as the Zamfara State Government of Nigeria has recruited 1,767 Islamic clerics to pray for the quick recovery of President Umaru Yar’Adua.

Nigerians often concludes issues with religion as the people of Zamfara state in an interview with World News Vine states that the only way out of the Nigerian President’s health condition is prayers and whatever maybe behind the health condition of the President has gone beyond Science and Medicine and they will fight it spiritually as well.

“In life, one cannot fight the spiritual spirits and powers of the unknown with Science and Medicine because it takes a spirit to fight a spirit, as far we are concerned the health condition of Mr. President has gone beyond scientific explanation. It maybe considered to be demonic and is high time we engage Mr. President’s illness in the spiritual world with prayers,” clerics said.

In order to fight the demons behind Nigerian President’s ill health, World News Vine findings proofed that Zamfara State Government, will spend about 17.6 million Naira equivalent to 117,334 USD on the prayers, as each of the cleric will go home with N10,000 equivalent to 67 USD for the service rendered within 15 minutes on that day. The prayers are being held on the 481- week Friday preaching at Juma’at mosques in Gusau city of Zamfara state, Nigeria.

The Representative of the Governor, the state Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheik Tukur Sani Jangebe, said that the prayer session is necessary in view of the present situation the country is passing through.

According to him, the health recovery of the president is very important for the survival of the country and to avoid constitutional conflicts, as such; the president needs the prayers of Nigerians instead of playing politics with his health.

However, critics said for how long the Nigerian Government will continue to waste the funds in the name of God, stating how can God answer paid prayers for political propaganda, “God will punish those who mock Him in the name of Religion for political fame, this is using of God’s name in vain” the critics stressed.
