Consistency is important… Even when you are lying.

Alistair Campbell, right hand man of Tony Blair took his seat at the Chilcot Inquiry into the war in Iraq yesterday.  What oozed out of his mouth would make a nursing home nurse shudder with disgust…

It was always going to be like that, for starters he is the guy whose job it was to make Blair appear like he knew what was going on.  Among the fantasies that Alistair Campbell wasted everyones time with…  Blair was looking for a “peaceful resolution”, the dossier, and subsequent media frenzy at no point claimed Saddam could launch missiles in 45 minutes, and that the dossier was not “sexed up”…  Not only did he pat himself on the back for a job well done, but he claims Blair had done a job to be proud of.

To say that Tony Blair was looking for a peaceful resolution before the war is insulting, and completely ridiculous.  His plan, along with Bush was to force Saddam to step down, and face the music for killing 148 people and the illegal detainment of around 400 people.  If Saddam got hanged for that, I bet if Blair had a conscience he would worry about what happens to him if the table suddenly turns and he finds himself in front of a hangman and a firing squad…  There is slightly more blood on his hands than 148 people, not to mention the sexual, emotional and violent abuse towards the prisoners held by both the UK and US in “detainment centers” such as Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay, based solely on the colour of their skin and political/religious beliefs.

When Campbell wrote his answers out to memorise, he should have taken into account Blairs’ appearance across from political heavyweight Fern Britton and her politically active viewers.  In this interview, and mentioned in a prior article by me, Blair said that had there been no WMD then he would have thought up another story to get the public behind him…  Which is exactly what happened, there were no weapons of mass destruction, so he told us there were anyway to get us onside…  For Campbell to insist that the dossier was not “sexed up” is an insult to anyone who can remember that blatant sexing up is exactly what happened…  Everyone in this country was talking about the 45 minute nonsense, and if certain people I know talk about politics, then the propaganda is further reaching than usual.

When Saddam found out that another member of the irrational, unpredictable and blood thirsty Bush family and his soft spoken, big toothed, jug eared, sell out friend from the UK were after him…  He hid in a hole in the desert…  And judging by his beard, he was there for a while.  Surely if he had the time to find a hole and grow a massive beard, then he had the time to set off one of his weapons of mass destruction that could wipe us out in 45 minutes.  Tony Blair should be proud, as Alistair Campbell claimed, he defeated a nobody…   Saddam probably didn’t even speed anymore because he knew what would happen if he annoyed the good guys again, a short drop and a sudden stop.

Look Alistair, there is a small desert country... I WANT IT NOW!! make it happen.

Look Alistair, there is a small desert country... I WANT IT NOW!! make it happen.

Campbell blames the media for jumping on the 45 minute threat, as if to claim someone in his position didn’t expect the media to jump on something like that…  If you release a dossier to the press in which is says, in political spin, that a dictator could attack us in 45 minutes, by claiming to not expect them to print it, and go over the top with it then you are either the dumbest living creature on this planet, or you are lying…  Since he is a politician, I will go with door number two please.

The Chilcot Inquiry is ongoing, as it seems a great way to waste everyones time and money…  Blair will appear at some point, if he can dig himself out of the pit made from the disgusting amount of money he has made by killing loads of innocent people.

    Fantastic article HH-

I personally feel that Saddam was a terrible man that did terrible things and held back Iraq from progression. However, we put him there and we supported him (initally).

The subject of lying is forever entertwined with politics and I find that very sad because politics is a great love of mine. We have a system where we vote for someone to represent us. We cannot be fairly represented on a lie and furthermore the actions taken by Blair are dispicable. He basically shat on us from a great height and the poor people of Iraq who on a day to day basis knew how to survive and live under a dictatorship have been thrown into something that the majority did not ask for. To presume that everyone wants the western idea of democracy is insulting, and forcing a life style on people that did not ask for it is just as bad as living under a dictatorship.

We forced a conflict on them that was entirely avoidable and its just so sad!! To quote spiderman’s grandpa (cheesy i know) – with great power comes great responsibility- maybe one day we will get a leader who realises this!

Thanks Victor Hugo, I am glad you liked it… Saddam was a terrible man, but what he was charged with is not a patch on what Blair and Co have on their hands… But you are right, he was a bad guy.

kudos on the spiderman reference, topical considering Sam Raimi just quit part 4

I guess the view from across the big puddle is somewhat clouded… I never thought of Tony Blair as being so “negative”

He is Scott, there are still people who like him I guess… in the same way as Im sure Bush still has supporters. Sadly not everyone sees the big picture.

Sorry it took me ages to reply to this… you know how it is.
