The Nigerian man who tried to blow up his underpants on a passenger plane has been charged with attempted murder and trying to detonate a weapon of mass destruction. Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab was apparently recruited in London… Which should come as no surprise to anyone considering he lived there, although he was equipped and trained in his native Nigeria.

I would have strapped it to my lower leg... Just in case it only set me on fire.
When they find him guilty he will be sentenced with the 289 passengers and crew that he would have killed in mind which will put him in prison for life. The bomb was a mixture of Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate (PETN), Triacetone Triperoxide (TATP), and other ingredients, apparently it takes the two being mixed to make explosives.
I guess the fact that two would be bombers have tried and failed to detonate this explosive is lucky… Or coincidence, which, coincidentally I don’t believe in. What I do believe in is the idiocy of some people and while these two scary, almost 80s action movie-like substances are volatile and dangerous, they can’t be as bad as we are being made to believe. On 9/11 two jets caused the collapse of two skyscrapers, which is a one hundred percent batting average, and if you include building 7 which fell from the same fires that brought down the towers, despite being quite some distance from them… Then you have three modern buildings falling from fire in the same day, the third being like a very very lucky ricochet… Especially for the little rat-like fellow that owns them, he didn’t own the hilton, on which the towers fell and that stood… And that is an important thing to remember. However, I digress. My point is that coincidence doesn’t exist in my eyes, not nearly as much as the will of man does. When a man with known terrorist links was allowed to board a plane with exploding briefs and a badly thought out plan while I get searched in every airport I have been in since I could grow a beard… I tend to think someone let this guy slide.
I should point out here that I am not a conspiracy nut, I despise people like Alex Jones as much as I do Glenn Beck as they are two sides of the same despicable coin, willing to prey on people looking for answers to further their career. When the same bomb fails twice, I am willing to live with it… If someone tries to blow up a plane with anything other than a bomb with a big red button on it then I don’t fancy their chances against the will of some hardman who isn’t ready to die in a fireball falling from the clouds, and who is more than willing to be the next hero.
One last point on this subject, the scanners that claim to be able to detect this type of explosive don’t actually do so. Given the powdery nature of this substance, they cannot pick it up… You will be safe from knifes and guns and bats etc, but not explosives that, so far, have yet to prove themselves as explosive at all.

It’s almost as if they want to keep us in a state of panic when it comes to flying – which any right minded person would be already..its called FLYING!!! The bomb did not detonate, neither did many other attempts. They are giving us the finger and its probably backed by the british government who want us in a constant state of fear so they can pass bills abd laws and vote maniacs like Cameron into the House, and so america can keep fighting wars…bravo!
