Explosives, Drugs Discovered in Various Provinces

KABUL, Afghanistan (Jan. 4) – An Afghan-international security force discovered two steel cylinders full of explosives in the Garm Ser district of Helmand today, and a bag containing a similar cylinder yesterday. Both finds were destroyed where they were found.

In Kandahar today, an Afghan-international force discovered a cache containing estimates of up to 800 cubic meters of marijuana and turned the find over to the Afghan National Police for destruction.

In the Ghazni province yesterday, a joint security force discovered a cache of ammunition including 132 12.7mm rounds and four 23mm rounds, which it destroyed.
