Dallas News: Cops Cited a Woman For Not Speaking English!

That’s right, you betcha! Lately, law enforcement has ” proposed” a whole lot of new regulations never adopted by the states nor the federal law. Following the previous outrageous, cranky cop who held a football player from visiting his mother-in-law in a hospital in Dallas, cops gave a woman a citation for not speaking English. I thought it was a joke, when I first read it…apparently, this is Texas. Welcome aboard.

This Hispanic new resident of Texas, who recently relocated her family all the way from California to Dallas, was on her way to pick up her daughter. She was cited for making an illegal U-turn, leaving her driver’s license at home, and being a  non-English speaking driver! The new resident figured may be it’s a law in Dallas.

The fact is, and based on my understanding, Texas nor the federal laws never, ever enacted a law mandating that a non-English speaking driver will get a traffic citation. It’s really disturbing to know there are not only chunks of racist cops, but also sheepish cops who obviously need more supervised training and ethical education, before getting out of the academy. There is only such a regulation that a commercial driver must speak English to operate a vehicle, while such a law is never adopted by any states for a private vehicle. Did this ” creative” cop read through the law handbook, or did someone else help him to cheat on his examination? Not a clue. But, what I assume is that there are probably a handful of  unqualified and  mentally irritated individuals serving in the police department, probably all of them opting to serve in Dallas.

I believe after this incidence, this on-training cop will probably be transferred back to the academy, and stay there as long as he receives much of the training to be a real cop.

Last year, a young football player in Dallas( again) was anxiously on his way to visit his dying mother-in-law in a hospital. For the fear of losing his last moments to spend time with his mother-in-law, he ran several traffic lights before pulling over in the parking lot of the hospital. That was when this aggravated cop came in. The cop snapped at him for running the lights, while he calmly explained his urgent situation and made sure that no one was on the road, before he ran the lights. Then, the cop started to pick on him by mandating to see his insurance policy, which he left at home( bad idea, we should all have our insurance policy in our car). Even though the guy begged the cop to cite him for traffic violation, the frantic cop refused to release him from the scene until a hospital nurse came to the parking lot to inform the cop that the guy’s mother-in-law was about to pass away. What was disturbing is that the cop agitatedly detained the young running back and even yelling at his wife, while threatening to screw him over if he ended up having to put him to jail. The white cop took 20 minutes picking on this black football player, and deprived his chance to spend the last moments with his mother-in law.

The news spread across the nation, and sparked public outrage towards the unconcerned, grumpy cop who disregarded the welfare of the citizen. I dont think we should pull out the race card in this case, even though there should be mental issues behind the case. The cop might have a really dismal day, or he would just get really distressed and aggravated by those violating the laws, because he would have to work and cite the traffic violation, instead of enjoying his peace and quiet. Last account will be his ideological racism, and his assumption that the minorities tend to be involved in criminal activities, and the abuse of drug. The young couple was even interviewed on Good Morning America aired by ABC, leading to the overwhelming public empathy towards the incidence. The police department acted towards the public outrage by laying off the testy cop to allay the public resentment.How come this news got its popularity over the media? The whole thing was videotaped on a dashboard camera, and was aired over and over again through the media.

The law enforcement should receive well training before completing the academy, attend to special circumstances, and most importantly do not be creative to ” establish” a new non-existing law to pick on a driver, just because he or she cannot deal with the stress. Good news for this infamous cop found a new, low-paid job, after being laid off.

I guess there is nothing that’s impossible to take place in this world nowadays.
